Outline of a Critique of Political Economy, better known by its German title Grundrisse der Kritik der Politischen Ökonomie or simply Grundrisse, is a manuscript in the papers of Karl Marx, left unfinished at the time of his death, which continues and expands upon many concepts from his 1859 Contribution to the Critique of Political Economy as well as his later work Capital. The manuscript is written in a terse, unfinished style in contrast to the dense language of Capital and Marx's other finished works. It went unpublished until 1939.[1]
