The Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844 is a series of personal notes written by Karl Marx between April and August 1844, complementing his work on his Critique of Hegel's Philosophy of Right. They are considered to be of profound importance for understanding his intellectual development, in particular that of his theory of alienation.
