Draft of a Communist Confession of Faith is the modern name for an 1847 draft of a manifesto for the Communist League written by Friedrich Engels and ultimately finalized, with input from Karl Marx, into the Communist Manifesto. The very brief sketch follows a question-and-answer format and outlines very basic points of Marx and Engels's positions as they had developed in the late 1840s. The work was rewritten into Principles of Communism before reaching its final form in the famous Manifesto.
