The Preface to Karl Marx's 1859 work A Contribution to the Critique of Political Economy is a very brief introduction to the book and Marx's ideas in general. The work is often cited as an introduction to Marx's writings and his ideas, or a summary of the most important parts of Marx's critique of capitalism and his materialist conception of history.
