Example of Western collapse propaganda directed against China present on social media. Note the use of fear-mongering and themes of impending cataclysm.

Political collapse propaganda[citation needed] involves the irrational, baseless, and often millenarianist predictions and beliefs that claim an all-encompassing collapse of society (either globally or in a particular area) is near.

This can include state propaganda which targets enemy countries (e.g. Western propaganda targeting Russia or China), extremist religious movements which tell of an impending cataclysm,[1] or the various views held by survivalist movements, right-wing libertarians, paleoconservatives, and other extreme traditionalists.
