History of imperialism

Origin of term

Imperialism as a term was created in the 1870s to describe the policies of British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli by his opposition. the term has been used in many ways the right tending to use it as a term to describe an ideology and the left more or less using it to describe an economic policy.
