"Cultural Marxism" is an antisemitic conspiracy theory that claims that Jews are using Marxism to destroy Western civilization, often by means of supposedly infiltrating the mass media and academia.[note 1] It is directly linked to the Nazi concept of "Cultural Bolshevism" and may be understood as its modern iteration.
