Catholicism, especially Roman Catholicism, is a Christian sect and religious organisation headed by the Pope in Vatican City. [1][2] It has traditionally been a major adversary to left-wing political struggle, although leftists have also at various times adopted Catholic identity and religious doctrine. It is the second most popular religion in the United States, behind Protestantism.[3]

Catholicism has a lot of influence over the world,[citation needed] with it being the most popular Christian sect in the world.[4]
