A common anarchist symbol is the black flag.

Anarchism without adjectives is a position within anarchism that calls for the political unity of anarchists as opposed to sectarianism among its various opposing sub-ideologies (commonly identified by their adjectives, anarcho-communist, syndicalist, green, etc.). Anarchists of this stance believe it is more relevant to focus on immediate issues and praxis as oppose to infighting with other anarchists over less mundane economic and political theory.[1]

Anarchists who subscribe to this position also often emphasize the universal aspects within various anarchist trends; seeking the complete abolishment of a physical ruler (a dictator, a president, a monarch), many physical rulers (an aristocracy, a cabinet of ministers) or a metaphysical idea (a political system, societal pressure) that exercises power over other humans. It is argued in anarchist circles if the concepts of money, relationships,[2] or truth[3] are included in this definition.
