Analytical Marxism is a school of thought that attempted to build on the core theory of Marxism while integrating analytical philosophy, neoclassical economics and rational choice theory. It is associated with the September Group of academics. Socialism in Analytical Marxism is often based in morality, non-dialectical progressive change (gradualism), and reform (such as basic income guarantee). It is doubtful whether Analytical Marxism is a current in Marxism at all, doubt articulated by both Marxists and Analytical Marxists.
