Amber A'Lee Frost is an American leftist author and commentator who formerly was a regular host of the Chapo Trap House podcast. Frost has made several contributions to Jacobin, The Baffler, Current Affairs and other media outlets. Frost is best known for her "dirtbag left" thesis, which argued for the left to occasionally eschew the civility of Bhaskar Sunkara in favor of Trump-like vulgarity. The term later became associated with the show's polemical style. Frost became radicalized through feminist organizing[1] and labor struggle[citation needed]. She made increasingly fewer appearances on the podcast after the 2020 election, during which time she wrote her first book, Dirtbag: Essays, a reflection on the 21st century left in the United States.

Frost has returned to the podcast as an infrequent host since mid-2023, when Matt Christman unexpectedly left the show due to medical issues.
