Alex Podnebesny (also known as Alexei Nikolaevich Podnebesny, Алексей Николаевич Поднебесный, Алексей Поднебесный, and Alex Undersky) is a self-described communist political activist, self-described incel activist, former academic, former criminal prosecutor and lawyer. He was the founder of the now defunct Anti-feminist Left Front and Movement Against Involuntary Celibacy political party. He is also a media personality in Russia, amassing over 100 references in Russian mainstream media.[1] He therefore may be the most famous person who ever self-identified as incel to still be alive. Although, he has virtually never been mentioned in Anglosphere media, with the exception of his movement being briefly mention in a Canadian CVE journal called Moonshot CVE.

Body of work

His main academic works are about neurodivergent crime. He is most famous for his theory of 'vaginocapitalism', which is a theory that women collectively deny sex to men in order to extract wealth from them. This is not a new theory however, being previously articulated by the American Marxist Mary Marcy in Women as Sex Vendors.

Alex is also known for his environmental activism and his run-ins with his local anti-extremism center, which has tortured Alex once and detained Alex multiple times over disagreements about construction and incel rhetoric. Alex has also been a victim of punitive psychiatry in Russia, which never really went away after the USSR disappeared. As a lawyer, Alex has successfully fought against further illegal instances of punitive psychiatry against him.

Legacy

thumb|right thumb|right Alex sometimes has an enormous ego, which increases every time he is mentioned in the news. After the 10th or so time a media outlet visited his house, Alex proclaimed, "To say that I, a great man, dont deserve every topic to be compared to me is hypocrisy and a lie!". Many of Alex's acquaintances describe Alex as paranoid and with a victim complex. Alex sometimes utilizes instances of local government persecution against him to raise sympathy for him, and collect donations.

Personal life

Alex lives in a small room he purchased for around $800 he saved up from a previously lucrative job. However, he often doesn't make enough money to feed himself, and asks his fans to donate money to him. Alex has been married multiple times, and is currently married to a fellow incel activist. Both have been seen carrying signs advocating for incel rights. Alex's current wife was fired from her teaching job for vocally opposing the war in Ukraine.
