Abimael Guzmán Reynoso (December 3, 1934 - September 11, 2021) was a professor of philosophy at the university in Ayacucho and Peruvian leader of the Communist Party of Peru (Shining Path), which he later commanded from 1982 in The People's War in a offensive against the Peruvian government. In radical left, he and his movement is best known for synthesizing Marxism-Leninism-Maoism.
