Usage

This template should not be substituted.

If there are too many or overly lengthy quotations in a given article, paste this at the top of the article in question:

{{Over-quotation|date=May 2024}}

It takes a numbered or unnumbered first parameter as a substitute for the word "article", e.g. |section. Using |section=yes or |section=y will also output the specific word "section".

Like all other cleanup templates, it accepts |date=May 2024 or |{{subst:DATE}}.

For more specific wording, |many=y limits the complaint to too many quotations, while |lengthy=y limits it to overly lengthy quotations.

When an article uses both too many and overly lengthy quotations, use neither parameter, or explicitly use |both=y (trying |many=y|lengthy=y will suppress, not show, both).

Notes

This template will add tagged articles to dated subcategories of Category:Wikipedia articles with style issues by month and to Category:All articles with style issues.

This template is a self-reference.
