Richard D. Wolff is a contemporary Marxist economist, theorist and political activist. He is notable for his work promoting worker cooperatives as a suitable vehicle for post-capitalist transition. To this end, he maintains the organization Democracy at Work, which publishes various materials promoting Marxism and workplace democracy. This includes the weekly "Economic Update" podcast and the bimonthly "Global Capitalism Live Economic Update" public lecture. Richard Wolff, along with David Harvey, is among the most renowned living Marxist economists in the United States.
