The Nordic countries are a geographic and cultural region in Northern Europe. The region includes Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and Norway. The Baltic state of Estonia is also sometimes included in definitions. The Nordic countries represent some of the best representatives of developed social democracy in the 21st century in the so-called Nordic model.
