Lemmygrad.ml is a principally Dengist and Third-Worldist troll farm.

Functioning

They ban non-Dengites. The community will hate you (and probably want you given the wall) if you don't have at least one portrait of Xi Jinping on your wall.

History

Founding and early developments

Lemmygrad was founded in August 2019, with its first post being on the 17th of that month.

Genzedong migration

In March 2022, the GenZedong subreddit was quarantined on Reddit. While we do not support corporate censorship, we can all agree that this should be an exception. Unfortunately, this dark-spot on the internet that is GenZedong was not banned, but hopefully it will be in due time.

Denial-of-service attacks

Along with the migration of the GenZedong community, Lemmygrad suffered denial-of-service (DoS) attacks against it, taking down the site for a number of hours at some points between March and May. This prompted the administrators of Lemmygrad to switch to another hosting provider with better DDoS protection, as well as update the Lemmy code to patch the vulnerabilities the attackers were using.

Purge of the c/Hoxhaism community and banning of its creator

In June of 2022, a Marxist-Leninist-Stalinist who called himself Wisconcom would join Lemmygrad.ml. Wisconcom would quickly take note of the fact that Lemmygrad.ml was nothing more than an echo-chamber of ultra-Dengite zealotry and dogma, hurling correct criticism with total Leninist-Stalinist gallantry. Regular users of Lemmygrad, whom collectively amounted to an adolescent and vacuous cult of Xi worshipers, began to argue with Wisconcom with the expected bovine-excrement that one may see Dengist revisionists preach, "AES", "800 billion", etc..

Wisconcom was eventually banned from Lemmygrad for an being an actual Marxist, particularly with how he failed to "toe the line" to what the Dengist moderators asserted. After all, despite Dengists claiming to be the only true Marxists, they cannot withstand any actual criticism or else they may begin to realize that billionaires, class-collaborationism, and social-imperialism are not actually socialism.

Lemmygrad.com copycat site

In September of 2022, alleged patriotic socialists of the infrared community created lemmygrad.com, a website that was meant to copy Lemmygrad but with a "MAGA Communist" purpose.

The administrators of Lemmygrad, to protect their reputation, announced they had contacted lemmygrad.com's hosting provider on the grounds of copyright infrigement (one of the only things they could do that went against the Terms of Services). The host replied very quickly and took down lemmygrad.com, although the domain name was still usable by its owner.

These days, the domain redirects to a transphobic Twitter account not linked here for obvious reasons.

Ideology

Lemmygrad is Dengist and Third-Worldist. They worship billionaires (whenever they are Russian or Chinese) and hate the first world proletariat. They don't care about revolution. They heed Putin, not Marx.
