Dipa Nusantara Aidit (July 30, 1923 in Pangkalpinang – November 22, 1965 in Boyolali; real name Achmad Aidit) was an Indonesian communist. He was the general secretary of the Communist Party of Indonesia (PKI) from 1951 until 1965, when he was executed after the Western-backed coup of September 30 that same year.
