Chunichi Shimbun(Kanji:中日新聞, Kana:ちゅうにちしんぶん) is a Leftist Japanese newspaper which was founded in 1942. In the Kanto region, it was published under the name of the Tokyo Shimbun (東京新聞).
The Chunichi Shimbun owns a professional baseball team, the Chunichi Dragons.
It owns Chubu Nippon Broadcasting And Tokai Radio Broadcasting Co., Ltd. in Nagoya, and owns Tokyo Metropolitan Television (TOKYO MX) in Tokyo.
