Antifascism is an ideology that stands in opposition to fascism. It was very common in Nazi Germany, as it stood in fierce opposition to the Nazi regime. Given that leftists have always been among the victims of fascist movements, socialists, anarchists, and communists are all anti-fascist. Some liberals, including conservative liberals and even monarchists, and social democrats have opposed fascism at one time or another. These groups can serve as important allies but are unreliable in many cases.
