Democratic Socialism

Democratic Socialism refers to a number of Leftist ideologies that seek to establish socialism through participation in capitalist democracy, and/or stress the importance of democratic rights in the socialist society they want to establish. It is also used by the United States Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders to refer to his own ideological position, although it is unclear whether he is intent on transitioning away from capitalism.
